30 weeks!
Not much has happened between 27 and 30 weeks, but enjoy this one anyway :)
Oh crap!
Here's my big ol' belly bump at 30 weeks!
I think I look "meh" but that's Mark's fault for not getting my best angle. Ha!
Oh crap!
Here's my big ol' belly bump at 30 weeks!
I'm still tripped out by how big I'm getting, even though I'm still pretty small for 6 1/2 months!! I've never seen myself this way before, so it takes awhile to get "used" to it, I suppose. I've gained about 14 pounds - three of which I can attribute to my little cabbage Bailey ;) When I look in the mirror, I don't really see my bump as much - it's not until I see it in pictures that I realize, "Oh crap! It really is noticeable!"
Non-Stress Tests and Ultrasounds!
Since I am technically "high-risk" because of the whole blood clot thing 4 years ago, I get to visit my doctor's office for weekly non-stress tests (NSTs) and ultrasounds just to make sure Miss Bailey is doing A-OK. I went in for my first NST this past Thursday; I just laid back and they monitor her heart rate for about half an hour. Easy! Bailey didn't seem to like the monitor being right over her though - it seemed like she was trying to bump it off lol. Btw, it's sort of hard to explain this monitor thing so I'll just show you this awesome picture I found:
Man, I love Google.
The blue band is holding the microphone, and the pink band is holding this other thing that measures any contractions you might be having. Miss Bailey seemed to fall asleep about halfway through the test, and her heart rate pretty much evened out which I thought was a good thing! Apparently, they want it to sort of jump around between high and low numbers. Luckily, we had gone to Starbucks on the way to the doctor so I had some apple juice to drink to wake her up. Good old sugar did the trick! Her heart rate bounced around a little more and I was good to go. As far as I know, she passed :)
I had my ultrasound the next day, and even though it was just to check the fluid levels inside my womb, I still got to see her weird little face! Even I have a hard time deciphering what I'm looking at in the ultrasound pictures, but here goes:
Face at 28 1/2 weeks
Face at 30 weeks
You can sort of make out the eye holes (the two dark circular areas). In both pictures, it's like she's laying on her left side looking at you. Creepy, huh? I'm tempted to go get a 3D ultrasound just so I can see what her face actually looks like lol. At least she's starting to look more baby-like and less alien-like! Hooray!
Cute baby stuff!
Here's a sampling of girly/cute things I've found online that I want to put Bailey in:

Just kidding... Mark would not be cool with this
much zebra, and even I think it's a little overkill :D
They have a bazillion cute things for girls - it's going to take a lot of restraint to not go overboard. Like, seriously.
It's late!
It's almost 1am here, and this girl needs her sleep. Goodnight, y'all!
