I can't believe it...
I have to mention right off the bat: I'm on my netbook right now and it's driving me crazy!! I'm used to the quickness of our Mac and have forgotten how dreadfully slow this thing is. OK, rant done! *phew*
So, if you read my last post, you know that Mark and I had an ultrasound this past Wednesday and possibly found out the sex... I about peed my pants when we found out, I was so excited! Yes, we're having a GIRL!! I'd put up a picture of my ultrasound but the quality sucks (or so I think), and even I can hardly tell what the ultrasound tech was looking at when she said "girl". So, you'll just have to take my word for it. But all in all, I got my wish! HOORAY!!
I took a new belly pic yesterday, and to be honest, I think I look more pregnant in my 14 weeks picture, even though I am now a whopping 17 weeks. What do you think??
Bleh, the more I look at my 17 week picture, the more I think I just look chubby! I think it's the shirt - it has to be the shirt, right? Maybe camera angle? Yeah! I'll blame the photographer! Either way, I've looked at pictures of other women's bellies and OMG, my 17 week "bump" is hardly anything at all compared to some of them! They look straight-up PREGNANT, whereas I just have a little pooch forming. I'm looking forward to the day where I look more pregnant and less "I ate too much Del Taco" :)
But geesh! I'm forgetting the most important subject of this post!! I can't believe we're actually having a girl! GO TEAM PINK!! I know a lot of people have some trouble finding out the sex because their babies won't "cooperate" and show the goods... but we got lucky the first time around! Our girl was sitting with her legs wide open, and the tech just had to sort of prod her into position so we could see what the situation was down there. When she let us know that lil peanut was a girl, I believe the first thing I said was, "Are you serious?!" and then I just started freaking out and wiggling around on the table. Mark describes it as me doing a small dance, lol. Needless to say, I was beside myself. I can now start calling lil peanut lil Miss Bailey! I absolutely love that name, and I'm just tickled that we get to use it! COMMENCE SHOPPING/REGISTERING!
Forgive me - I am so scatterbrained right now. I'm sitting on the couch watching HGTV and my mind is all over the place, so I feel like this is one of my crappier posts. But I got the meat and potatoes out of the way, yeah? OK, good! Wow, I'm really sorry for all this, lol... time to end this post, I think. Enough of this crazy writing ;)
