Tuesday Musings

Sometimes you just feel like blogging, so that's what I'm doing!  Plus, I wanted to share a 12 weeks "bump" (if you can even call it that) picture with you all:

See that little pooch?  Yeah, I'm not sure if that's baby or just belly flab, but for now we'll call it a baby bump!  And please ignore my weird looking finger poking out from the other side.  I recently purchased a belly band and let me tell ya, it's friggin' awesome.  The jeans I have on in the picture normally don't fit me unless I'm having a skinny day, so the fact that I can wear them now with a little help from my belly band is truly amazing!  I never knew what a belly band was until I Googled it... it's basically a stretchy thing (similar to a tube top) that you put around your waist to help keep your pants up when they're unbuttoned.  Who knew?!  I know I'm going to be tempted to keep on wearing the band even after I have the baby, lol!

Here's my latest sonogram, 11 weeks and 4 days!  This is the first time we could see the face :)

Now that I'm in between 12 and 13 weeks, I am DYING to know what I'm having - boy or girl?  Personally, I'd love to have a little girl.  There's just something in me that needs a girl!  I wasn't a girly girl until later in life, but I would love to pass on my knowledge of everything girly to a daughter.  But of course, if God blesses us with a boy, that is perfectly fine as well - I just can't promise that I won't try to make him metrosexual :D  At least he'd be the most stylish and put together kid in school, right?  We have names picked out for both genders, so now we just have to wait and see... allegedly they can tell by 17 weeks, so hopefully it'll only be another month or so before we know!

And I also learned a little tidbit about Mark last night... he weighed 8 pounds 14 ounces when he was born!  I was a mere 7 pounds, so it'll be interesting to see how big our lil' peanut gets.  I'm hoping he/she is more toward my end of the scale!

Also, this is something I forgot to mention in my last post: I can't stand the smell of mayonnaise now.  It never bothered me before, but now I start to feel a little nauseous if I smell it or even think about the smell!  I can handle it fine if it's already on something and I can't smell it, but oh my goodness, don't force me to make you a sandwich with it on it!  Eww.  I haven't really had any other food aversions though, which might be a bad thing lol - I'm still craving junk food, especially chicken nuggets!

That's all for now folks, til next time!
