Hello third trimester!
Only three more months?! WHAT?!
Denial!
I'll be honest, I still don't feel like I'm this pregnant. However, I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that our little bundle of joy will be here soon... she's been cooking for 27 1/2 weeks now, and is growing up a storm! According to the Internet, she weighs almost two pounds (the size of a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 inches long. I can imagine things are starting to get a bit cramped in there!
Bump comparisons!
Watch my belly magically vanish...

25 weeks
19 weeks
14 weeks
12 weeks (yeah, that was so not a baby bump)
Looking back at these pictures makes me miss my pre-pregnancy body, but there's not much I can do at this point! I'm only getting bigger, but it's all for a good reason! Miss Bailey can't grow to her full potential without me getting bigger along with her :)
New wheels!
A stroller counts, right?
Our very good and very generous friends, the Morgans, gifted us this stroller/carseat combo and we are in love with it! We weren't expecting it at all, and are incredibly grateful... Miss Bailey is already getting spoiled, and that's alright with us ;)
Glucose Screening Test!
I'd read about this test long before I had to take it, so I had already psyched myself out about it and was convinced that I was going to hate it. You have to drink a special drink with like 50g of sugar in it, and then have your blood drawn where they test to see if your blood sugars are within a "normal" range. This is all to test for Gestational Diabetes, which, if left untreated, can be bad for you and your baby, so everyone gets tested regardless of whether or not you have any risk factors for Diabetes. Getting my blood drawn is no big deal, but I figured the stuff I had to drink would be stank nasty... turns out, it wasn't so bad! It just tasted like super sweet non-carbonated orange soda. I downed the entire (small) bottle with no problem, and just felt like I had a sugar rush for the next hour or so. I'm assuming I passed the test... they would've let me know by last Friday if I hadn't, so as long as there wasn't a mix up in communication, I'm good to go!
Symptoms!
Luckily, I haven't had many bad ones thus far... but recently I've been experiencing some shortness of breath, which is supposedly common for pregnant ladies! I sometimes feel like I can't take in enough air; my airways are clear, but it's almost like my lungs won't fill up all the way. Weird, I know, but it's not bad and it's only occasional, so it's not a major complaint. My hormones must be leveling out a little (or my face wash is doing its job), because my crazy acne is finally starting to ebb! Thank the Lord for that; the pregnancy glow is returning! If that's the worst of my symptoms at this point, then I'm a happy girl :)
Car shopping!
This is honestly a hobby of mine, whether I have the money or not! I don't know if I get it strictly from my dad, but I LOVE looking at cars even if I'm not in the market for one. So, now that Mark and I are finally going to be in the market for a bigger vehicle (hooray!), I've pretty much taken control of the "research" part lol, and I just fill him in on what I've found. Up until now, our little two-door Honda Civics have served us well (minus all the money we've spent on repairing them over the years but that's a whole other story). We've never needed much more room than what they provide, but neither one of us want the hassle of trying to fit a carseat into a tiny backseat! Besides, who doesn't love more space?
Still, it's hard to narrow down your choices when you're looking at everything bigger than a coupe but smaller than a full-size SUV. Plus, given the fact that our newest car is 11 years old, almost everything out there is an upgrade from what we currently have. We don't have high standards lol. It'll be another couple of months or so before we purchase one, so that's ample time for us to decide, right? Hopefully?
Goodnight!
'Til next time ;)
